Business Plan Development

Quickbooks and Business Consulting works with business owners just like you to ensure that you and your business are presented in the best and most accurate manner.

Business Plans differ widely in their length, appearance, the detail of their contents, and the varying emphases placed on different aspects of the business. Whether you’re ready to stop thinking about it and commit ideas to paper, or you’ve been to the bank and they’ve asked for your financials and competitor analysis, we can help!

Quickbooks and Business Consulting has three business plan packages to serve your needs:

1) Basic Plan

The purpose of creating a basic plan is to get the flow started. The biggest benefit of creating a basic plan is that it helps approach planning slowly, one small step at a time and with guidance.

If you are still thinking about the same business ideas that you were a year ago, but nothing has changed, this is the best option for you. Stop leaving money on the table and begin to seriously explore the viability of your vision using the right tools.

We keep it simple while working with you to create a plan. This plan is never more than five pages long so it never becomes overwhelming. Like all business plans it contains an executive summary with most of the main titles. However, the information it contains is on a much smaller scale.

Despite its small size, this Basic Plan is customizable to your specific needs and interests and could also include networking, building a referral base, business name, legal structure, and creating a professional website.

2) Business Road Map

This is the program for you if you have started and stalled in your business planning process. This level of planning will require your full dedication and cooperation. We are with you every step of the way.

  • Understanding your market
  • Clear view of capital needs
  • Budget and cash flow sheet
  • Basic assumptions
  • Where your biz is now
  • Where you want it to go
  • How will you get there

A roadmap is a less formal way of conveying the answers to the most pressing questions required by investors and potential key employees. Upon completion, it can also serve as a precursor to the intensive research that must be done before you have a truly bank-ready business plan.

We will help you create a document that clearly conveys the following:

  • Your business goals
  • The strategies you will use to meet them
  • Potential problems that confront your business and ways to solve them
  • The organizational structure of your business
  • The amount of capital required to finance your venture and keep going

3) Bank-Ready Business Plan

If you have already been to the bank and they inquired about your financials, and market and competitor analyses, this plan will meet your needs.

The massive amount of research that is involved for this level of planning is where most business owners fail. They either don’t have the time, the knowledge, the energy, or the desire to do what it takes. This is where we shine! We often deliver research results that amaze our clients with the golden nuggets we uncover.

The Bank-Ready Business Plan will require your full dedication and cooperation, but we will do the heavy lifting while holding you accountable (if you ask us to).

Whether your mission is to:

  • Present your case to potential investors
  • Attract key employees
  • Prospect for new business
  • Understand how to manage your company better or
  • All of the above

We will work with you to prepare a traditional, detailed business plan that follows generally accepted guidelines for both form and content. The primary parts to your bank-ready business plan will include your financial information as well as:

  1. A business concept which includes discussion of the industry, business structure, particular product(s) or service(s), and how the business will succeed.
  2. A marketplace section which describes and analyzes potential customers such as who they are, where they are, and what makes them buy. It also describes the competition and how to be positioned to beat it.

Completed, the business plan will contain the following sections including a title page and table of contents:

    1. Executive Summary
    2. Business Description
    3. Market Strategies
    4. Competitive Analysis
    5. Design and Development Plan
    6. Operations and Management Plan
    7. Financial Factors
